Sixth Form: JMF6-Abingdon
JMF6-Abingdon is the sixth form provided by Fitzharrys and John Mason Schools.
JMF6-Abingdon delivers high quality, post-16 education to young people in the Abingdon area and beyond.
At JMF6-Abingdon, our ambition is for every student to access outstanding learning opportunities, which encourage them to become academically successful, happy, confident and inquiring young people. We believe that every students has the potential to make a difference in the world and want them to be ambitious in their career choices. JMF6-Abingdon offers the very best in teaching, high-quality careers advice and guidance, a caring and knowledgeable pastoral support team, and a wide range of opportunities and experiences designed to help students develop their talents, interests and skills.
For students in years 12-13 (Key Stage 5), we offer a wide range of around 30 subjects as part of our provision, alongside opportunities including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and our enrichment programme.
As part of enrichment, all students have the opportunity to access:
- Extended Project Qualification
- Core Maths
- Oxbridge and Russell Group Pathways

Open Evenings
JMF6 Abingdon holds an annual open evening in the autumn term, giving students and families the chance to visit us and find out about our fantastic sixth form provision.
Those attending explore our facilities, and hear presentations from staff about subject choices and the exceptional Enrichment offer that supports the development of our students.
JMF6-Abingdon Open Evening last held an open evening on Thursday 28th November 2024, from 5-7pm, at the John Mason School site.
